High Holy Day Torah and Haftarah Reading Resources
Welcome to B'nai Tikvah's High Holiday torah reading website!
On this page you will find resources to help you prepare to chant torah on the high holy days. You will find links below to both the tikkun text page and recordings of each aliyah (torah reading) for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. It is customary to chant the morning torah readings of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur using a special holiday trope. The recordings provided below use that special trope -- now's your chance to learn the holiday melodies! Thank you to our friends at Temple Emanu-el of Providence RI for sharing scanned pages of the tikkun -- preparing your aliyah is now just a click or two away!
(Rest assured -- If you are reading torah at B'nai Tikvah and have prepared it using the 'regular' year-round trope, you are welcome to chant the torah reading using that trope.)
For the upcoming High Holidays use the Rosh Hashanah weekday recordings and the Yom Kippur Shabbat recordings.
