A Novel Group
Monday, Nov 20, 8 pm The Matchmaker’s Gift by Lynda Cohen Loigman (bestselling author of The Two-Family House and The Wartime Sisters). Is finding true love a calling or a curse? This is a heartwarming story of two extraordinary women from two different eras who defy expectations to utilize their unique gift of seeing soulmates in the most unexpected places.
Hunger remains a critical issue across Massachusetts as many struggle with inflation and the end of pandemic era benefit programs. Jewish Family & Children's Service's Family Table helps provide regular access to nutritious kosher food and emergency groceries to families in crisis.
How to help? The next time you shop, pick up an extra box of cereal or a can of soup, preferably low salt and kosher. Then put it in the cabinet in the lobby next to the Chapel. It's that EASY! Do you want to do more? Become a Family Table volunteer once a month at B'nai Tikvah. To get started, visit the Jewish Family & Children's Service's website and sign up. Also, you can contact Ann Hartstein.

Israel Rally
Jews and friends from around the United States gathered Tuesday in Washington to demonstrate support for Israel and to demand the release of over 200 hostages. Nearly 300,000 gathered on a clear autumn day on the National Mall. I was proud to be a participant. Read article here.
Israeli and Jewish music played before and during the rally, helping to set the tone. We heard from both cultural and political leaders. Nathan Sharansky spoke about the need to again stand firm against hatred. Family members of hostages shared their thoughts and gratitude for support. Most moving to me was just the sheer number of people who came out with signs and flags, and their voices, in support of Israel. The number of young people was especially gratifying.
Here are a few pictures from the rally. Am Yisrael Chai, Marvin Wolfert
Digital Yahrzeit Board
B’nai Tikvah’s electronic Yahrzeit Board, in our foyer, scrolls through the names of all those we remember during the week of their yahrzeit on the Hebrew calendar beside an image of a flickering memorial candle.
