Chanukah at Brightview Senior Living
Monday, Dec 11, 4:30 pm Join B'nai Tikvah's Rabbi Lisa Feld and President Janice Halpern at Brightview Senior Living for menorah lighting, singing, light refreshments, and Chanukah stories. Share your Chanukah traditions and deepen your connection with the B'nai Tikvah community. All are welcome.

Game Night
Join us Saturday, Dec 16, 5:30 pm for an evening of family fun! Havdalah will be followed by refreshments and games in the social hall. Children are welcome. While parents/guardians enjoy a night out, their children will be entertained with a movie, supervised by our teen group, and enjoying pizza and ice cream. Bring a friend and your favorite board games.
As the year comes to a close, it is often the time of year when people make donations to nonprofit organizations to reduce their tax liability. Please remember that your donation to B'nai Tikvah may be tax deductible and welcome to help strengthen our Jewish presence in the South Area. Consult your tax advisor.
Social Action/Social Justice
Join us on Sunday, Dec 17, at 2 pm when the Social Action Committee presents “Jewish Environmentalism & How to Save the Earth.” Guest speaker is Andrew Steinberg, an organizer and communications associate at JALSA (Jewish Alliance for Law and Social Action).
This program will serve as an introduction to Jewish environmental ethics and how people should morally interact with nature. Andrew will discuss the history of environmentalism, investigate texts from the Torah and Talmud, and more. There will be a Q&A following the presentation, along with ways to advocate.
