Canton Fall Classic Returns on October 30
The Canton Fall Classic Road Race is right around the corner. Registration is open for this year’s race, to be held on Sunday, October 30.
Sponsored by B’nai Tikvah, the race will feature both a 10K and a 5K, starting at 10 am, a one-mile kids' Fun Run at 9:45 am, and a one-mile Senior Walk beginning at 9:00 am. More than 400 runners have participated in past years.
There will be a DJ, local sponsors, and fun pre-run warmup activities.
We will be seeking temple volunteers to help out on race day and will reach out with more information on how you can be a part of the temple’s largest fund raising effort this year.
The Canton Fall Classic benefits B’nai Tikvah and the Canton Food Panty and CAPE (Canton Alliance for Public Education), which raises money to provide grants for teachers in the Canton school system to provide innovative and productive programs. B’nai Tikvah thanks the many sponsors who make the event possible, particularly platinum sponsors Orchard Cove and MS Walker and gold sponsors Bay State Physical Therapy, Cassidy Asphalt Paving, Sullivan Tire and Timberline Construction.

In this six-week course, we will examine six women who lived in the time of the Talmud, whom the rabbis labeled as a shrew, a primadonna, a black widow, and so on. But was that all that they were? Was that all the rabbis thought of them? Or is there more to the story, hidden in the margins? Based on the acclaimed work of scholar GIla Fine, we will uncover the secret lives of these six remarkable women. -
