Join us for Friday Night Live on March 17, 6 pm with Special Musical Guests Cantorial Soloist, Jodi Blankstein and accompanist, Adam Dehner. Jodi and Adam will share both traditional and modern melodies throughout the service, in addition to a program filled with songs of resilience, renewal and HOPE.  Our B'nai Tikvah clergy, Rabbi Gordon will enhance the service with a teaching. 

For those who would like the flavor of Shabbat to linger, please join us after services for a delicious chicken dinner prepared by our very own chefs, Michelle and Gerry.

Cantorial Soloist Jodi Blankstein received her certificate in Jewish liturgical music from Hebrew College in June of 2010. Since 2008, Jodi has served as the Cantorial Soloist at Temple Habonim in Barrington, RI, Temple Emanuel in Andover, Congregation Shalom in Chelmsford, and Congregation B'Nai Torah in Sudbury.

Prior to her Cantorial work, Jodi attended Lesley College where she received her degree in Elementary Education. After teaching elementary school for ten years, Jodi started her journey in sacred music while raising her two children. Immersing herself in her Cantorial role has enabled Jodi to combine her love of teaching and spiritual song.

Jodi lives in Needham, Massachusetts with her husband Jim. They have two adult children: their daughter Sydney, a 5th-grade teacher who lives in Baltimore with her fiancé Alex, and son Zachary who works in Community Engagement at Jewish Family Services of MetroWest in addition to traveling around the country with his band, Couch.
