As such, the hospital is offering FREE virtual, webinars on obsessions about trauma, self-reliance, teen anxiety and mental health, and more. Upcoming topics include: Teen Depression, Anxiety and OCD in Children, Talking to a Child about Mental Illness, support for parents and MORE. And of course there are resources for adults as well. For further information contact: mcleanhospital.org Additionally we have been in contact with CAASA (Canton Alliance for Alcohol and Substance Abuse). In the near future, we will be holding a program with a speaker(S) from this organization. Watch for details.
As the horror in Ukraine continues, we offer our thoughts and prayers to the people of that war-torn nation.
Many organizations are coming to the aid of those who need it. Please go to CJP.org for a list of groups and the types of aid they are providing: You will find everything you need to make your donation count! Help for Ukraine Thank you. Ann and Phyl socialaction@bnaitikvahma.org
GOOD NEWS: We have received word from Keshet that B'nai Tikvah is now part of their online directory. We are listed as a LGBTQ supportive congregation!
More good news: At the April 26th meeting, committee members Adrienne Fleishman, Stan Zoll, Ann Hartstein and Phyl Hewson were joined by Janice and Ralph Halperin and Carol Turkevwtz. We wrote out over 80 postcards for a "get out the vote campaign." The information was provided by JALSA (Jewish Alliance for Law and Social Action); and will be sent to disenfranchised voters in N. Carolina! Thanks to all who participated! [photo, L to R..... Minyan List for the Week
Congregants commemorating a yahrzeit may wish to honor that event by leading some portion of the evening’s service. It might be as small as leading a prayer or could be leading all of Mincha or Ma’ariv. If you are interested in taking this honor feel free to call Joe Doniger at 781-910-7601 or email us at MinyanRangers@bnaitikvahma.org at least two days in advance, and we’ll help make arrangements with that night’s minyan leader. Due to the pandemic, as many people are observing a virtual Shiva week, if you inform the leader, a third Mourners' Kaddish will be included as is done in a shiva house.
