Join the Social Action/Justice Committee
on Saturday, Feb 4, 10 am as they present:

HIAS (Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society) Shabbat, with guest speaker, Chelsey Berlin.

This timely and important program will be presented both in person and on ZOOM.  

Chelsey Berlin is the Director of Community Engagement and Initiatives at HIAS. Prior to joining HIAS, Chelsey was the director of B'Tselem USA, where she helped individuals, university students, and communities examine the status of human rights in the West Bank and Gaza and empowered them to take action. Chelsey also spent three years in the northern West Bank city of Nablus directing a service-learning program for young adults at Tomorrow's Youth Organization and a year in Tel Aviv studying Jewish prayer and political thought as the recipient of a Dorot Fellowship in Israel. She earned her BA in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies from Brandeis University and currently lives in Washington, D.C.
