Friday Night Live! on Feb 3, 6 pm Join us for a family-friendly, lively musical Kabbalat Shabbat, led by Reb Josh on guitar, with special guest accompanist, Sam Tygiel. Sam Tygiel is a musician, prayer leader and myth-weaver who draws on the rich narrative and musical traditions of Judaism to create emotional openings for people to experience connection, curiosity and healing through Jewish ritual. Our service will begin at 6 pm in the sanctuary and streamed on LiveControl & YouTube (not Zoom). Service will be followed by a parve oneg.

HIAS is the world's oldest refugee agency. Established in 1902 as the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, the organization was a continuum of earlier groups assisting Jews fleeing pogroms in Russia and Eastern Europe. Originally set up by Jews to help other Jews, today HIAS is a multi-continent organization and advocacy group helping displaced persons around the world. What work does HIAS do?
* Resettle refugees * End gender based violence * Provide legal support * Promote Economic Inclusion * Advocate for refugee rights *Respond to emergencies
*Also, BT SINGS! will make a special appearance during Shabbat HIAS Morning Service, Saturday, Feb 4, 10 am, followed by Simcha Shabbat Kiddush.
