Chanukah Concert & Menorah Lighting
This year's Chanukah Concert & Menorah Lighting was awesome and a great success! Thanks to everyone who came out to join B'nai Tikvah.
Social Action/Social Justice
Join us on Sunday, Dec 17, 2 pm when the Social Action Committee presents “Jewish Environmentalism & How to Save the Earth.” Guest speaker is Andrew Steinberg, an organizer and communications associate at JALSA (Jewish Alliance for Law and Social Action).
This program will serve as an introduction to Jewish environmental ethics and how people should morally interact with nature. Andrew will discuss the history of environmentalism, investigate texts from the Torah and Talmud, and more. There will be a Q&A following the presentation, along with ways to advocate.
Monday, Dec 18, 8 pm The Mitford Affair by Marie Benedict; discussion leader is Fern Cagan. The six Mitford sisters dominated the English political, literary and social scenes, but as the Nazis rise in power, choices must be made between the personal and the political.
