Monday, Feb 19, 8 pm “The Postcard” by Anne Berest The novel, based on a true story, traces a 2003 anonymous postcard delivered to the Berest home. On one side is a photo of the Opera Garnier in Paris; on the back are the names of Berest’s maternal great-grandparents and children who were all killed in Auschwitz. The novel unravels the mystery of the postcard. For more information, contact Sherry Alpert.

Starting February 21: New Voices: Modern Feminist Midrash
In recent years, feminist writers have created a wealth of new stories and poems inspired by biblical and rabbinic texts, bringing fresh insights to our tradition. We will explore a variety of these midrashim in English, discussing how the writers are continuing the midrashic tradition but taking it in new directions. To vote on future courses, please fill out this poll.
Register in person: You can register or pre-register to vote in person at your local town clerks. Last day to register is Saturday, February 24. For further information, check out MA.Gov.

Purim
Celebrate Purim with a Pot of Gold Raffle We have a wonderful opportunity for you to not only support B'nai Tikvah in its fundraising efforts, but to possibly be the winner of a part of a pot of gold!
We are selling 250 raffle tickets at $50 each. At our Purim celebration on Saturday evening March 23, we will draw "lots" from Haman's hat for 10 winners. The prizes range from $2,000 to $100.
Join the fun – starting at 6 pm - put on your costume, play games, enjoy a light meal, watch the Purim Shpiel, celebrate Havdallah, hear and participate in our interactive Megillah Purim story, and socialize with friends. Prizes will be drawn after Havdallah. You do not need to be present to win.
Tickets can be purchased at the temple in person, by sending in a check to B'nai Tikvah (and reference Purim) at 1301 Washington Street, Canton, MA 02021 or at bnaitikvahma.org. To donate online, go to the Donate tab; under Type there will be a dropdown menu. Choose the Purim raffle option and follow through the donation process. Once you register for the event and input the $50.00 you will have purchased an actual raffle ticket and we will send you a picture of your ticket. One half will be entered into the hat for the drawing and the other portion, sent to you via a picture, will be your ticket.
Tell your family, tell your friends. Great cash prizes will be given to our lucky winners!
Please reach out to Howie Cooper 781.910.4801 or Natalie Weinberg 617.694.4674 for questions. Purim Raffle Tickets
