Our Friday night service begins at 6:00 p.m. and concludes around 7:00 p.m. Join us on ZOOM and log in early to say hello. Our service includes Candle Lighting for Chanukah and Shabbat, blessing one another, kiddush, motzei and angel cards as we prepare to move from the work week to Shabbat as a day of rest and reflection.
Reb Lisa will lead the davening and offer a teaching. Chanukah songs and candle lighting will begin our evening.
This shabbat Reb Josh leads the davening. Linda Dietrich and Reb Josh will read torah and haftorah. We read from three torah scrolls this shabbat and Dena Kaufman will lead Hallel in honor of Rosh Hodesh (the new month) and the holiday.
What does Judaism teach about miracles? We will look at a short passage in Ethics of the Fathers (Pirkei Avot) about where miracles come from and then look at some stories about rabbis as miracle workers. In the end, what does our tradition say about God entering history to change the course of nature?
Davening in the sanctuary begins at 10:00 a.m. and concludes around noon with kiddush luncheon. Join us for conversation, study and fellowship, or join us on-line.
