Shabbat Morning: Parshat Yitro and the 10 Commandments
Services this Shabbat morning will be live in the Sanctuary and on Livestream and YouTube. Davening in the sanctuary begins at 10:00 a.m. and concludes around noon with kiddush luncheon. Join us for conversation, study and fellowship, or join us online.
Reb Lisa will be leading the davening. Linda Dietrich joins us to read an expanded Torah reading that will include the chanting of the 10 commandments. Adrienne Misiph will chant the Haftorah.
In our study, we will look at texts, classical and modern, on the meaning of revelation. Who stood at Sinai? Why was torah given in the wilderness? Are other nations included in the message given at Sinai? Where were women’s voices, then and in the aftermath of revelation?
