Reb Josh will lead the davening and I will offer our teaching. This shabbat we begin a long discussion in the Bible about how to build a sanctuary in a wilderness. The building described is a model of the Temple in Jerusalem and reflects its dimensions. In turn, the Temple in Jerusalem was a model of the entire cosmos. How do we understand our sanctuary as a reflection of those sacred spaces? What are we to make of the idea that each of us is/can be a sanctuary?
As we continue to hold in-person services in the Sanctuary, we advise wearing a mask and making sure you are current in your booster shots. If you are feeling sick, please stay at home, we will miss you.
