Almost all members who borrowed mahzorim have now returned them. If you are among the few who have yet to return your borrowed mahzorim, please bring them to the synagogue during regular office hours (see below). Please be sure to check them IN with the office, so we can "check your names off the list". Books go back into storage, so we appreciate your returns in the next week. Thank you!

Social Action/Social Justice News
Our successful High Holiday food drive enabled BT to deliver 30 bags of groceries and personal care products to the Canton food bank and 30 bags to the Randolph food bank. Nicely done, everyone!!!!!!
Thanks to everyone who helped with the (JALSA) postcard writing campaign to disenfranchised voters. The national goal of 37,000 cards has been met! At BT, over time, we sent out several hundred!!!!!!
In partnership with Sisterhood, the SA committee presented a dynamic speaker from Sharsheret who discussed, "What's Jewish about breast and ovarian cancer?" As a result of this program we will be sending toys for a "busy box" drive to help kids whose parent suffers from one of these illnesses. Details to follow.
On November 19th, we will be hosting a Transgender Remembance Day Shabbat. Meet Cohen Krauss, an educator who also worked with the Jewish Federation to kickstart conversations around LGBTQ+ inclusion and equity in Jewish spaces! You do not want to miss this!!!!!.
Stay tuned for information on our upcoming projects: * HIAS (Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society) Shabbat..... Febraury 2, 3, 4 * Annual Mitzvah Day..... April 30th..... performing good deeds while having fun
HELP SAVE LIVES AND SUPPORT UKRAINE, by Enid Cherenson
As the continuing war in Ukraine becomes even more deadly with power and water shortages expected as winter sets in, direct contributions to the people of Ukraine can provide immediate assistance in fighting the Russian invaders.
My friend, Alex Dunai, a trained genealogist and well-known among Jewish genealogy organizations, has set up a GoFundMe page to purchase and deliver medicines, basic equipment like shovels, chain saws, clothing, and other essentials to combat areas.
In addition, Alex has been purchasing used 4x4 vehicles and car parts to send to eastern Ukraine to assist in medical evacuations. Watch these YouTube videos with Alex describing how these desperately needed vehicles are being repaired and sent out to save lives: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUXTXBIrL_M https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbUfDCfU7Bs&t=58s Alex and his family could have left Ukraine at the beginning of this war. They, like many Ukrainians, have decided to stay and fight. Please help them to save lives and make a donation to: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-alex-get-suvs-for-ukraine

Minyan
Congregants commemorating a yahrzeit may wish to honor that event by leading some portion of the evening’s service. It might be as small as leading a prayer or could be leading all of Mincha or Ma’ariv. If you are interested in taking this honor feel free to call Joe Doniger at 781-910-7601 or email us at MinyanRangers@bnaitikvahma.org at least two days in advance, and we’ll help make arrangements with that night’s minyan leader. Due to the pandemic, as many people are observing a virtual Shiva week, if you inform the leader, a third Mourners' Kaddish will be included as is done in a shiva house.
