Did you borrow a Mahzor? Please make sure you return the prayer book(s) back to the office to ensure that it’s checked in. Also, remember to turn in your annual high holy day appeal pledge at the same time.
Social Action
Thanks to everyone who participated in the High Holiday Food Drive. Your generosity will help several families in need in both Randolph and Canton.
In partnership with Sisterhood, our next program, "Pink, Teal, and YOU" will take place on October 17th, 6:00 pm at the temple and on ZOOM. Our guest speaker, Becky Rabson, will speak on her personal experiences. She will also speak about Sharsheret, a group that provides many forms of assistance to breast and ovarian cancer patients. Becky currently lives in Newton, Massachusetts, but grew up in the tri-state area. She has two children, ages 18 and 21. In addition to volunteering with Sharsheret, she also volunteers with Dana Farber in their One to One and Soul Mates programs as a peer mentor, with Mass General/Newton Wellesley in their Peer Support Program, and with FORCE, an online organization, as a peer navigator and Boston area support group facilitator. She also works with JF&CS as a visiting mom and facilitates a new parent group in JP. Following Becky's talk, we will join Minyan and have desserts and conversation.
There is NO CHARGE for this important program. Everyone is invited to attend!
The Interfaith Mini-Walk for Hunger will take place on Sunday, Oct 22, 2 pm. This is a 3-mile walk that starts and ends at Temple Beth David, Westwood. Watch for further details.
Be sure to pick up your "stand up against hate" blue square pin. They are on the table next to the kippot in the front lobby!

We will need help on race day as well to assist with fundraising and picking up donated merchandise before the race. Please contact Karen Reiser to volunteer or if you need any further information:karenreiser@verizon.net or 617-966-3334. Thank you!
