Social Action / Justice Committee
The Passover story is about our Jewish ancestors becoming strangers in a strange land. It reminds us that we too have been refugees and asylum seekers in search of safety and liberty. With more displaced people around the world today than any time in history, the words of the Haggadah are more poignant and relevant now than ever before! As we read these words we are commanded to put ourselves back into the narrative, as if we too were delivered from Egypt. If it would be meaningful to you to add some poignant stories of today's refugees and asylum seekers at your seder table, you can download the FREE HIAS Haggadah. Chag Pesach Sameach from the entire Social Action/Social Justice Committee. Phyl Hewson, Chair
