Brotherhood
What goes up must come down... Each year Brotherhood sponsors the both the assembly and disassembly of the Sukkah. Under the careful leadership of construction supervisor, Steve Bernstein, the mitzvah of building the Sukkah was fulfilled. Brotherhood wishes to thank Steve and the crew who assisted: Morgan Aranoff, Phil Rosen, Jarret Lotto, Jonathan Cohen, Gene Avrus, Ralph Halpern, Jeff Weinberg and Steve Niers. To feed the hungry crew, a complimentary breakfast was prepared by Marshall and Janet Silberberg.

Sammy Bernstein, a founding member of Temple Beth Am, was a Marine who survived the last Japanese banzai attack on Iwo Jima. Sammy's Story tells of his surprise enlistment in the Marine Corps as a naive, young boy to his transition into a battle-ready Marine on the black sands of Iwo Jima. Sammy passed away in 2015 but his son will be with us to carry on his legacy. Join us for tea, coffee, and pastries after the film. Any questions, please contact: Janet Silberberg or Nancy Swartz
